The result of heating zirconium produces a very strong and scratch resistant material known as Zirconia, also known as High Tech Ceramic. The benefits of zirconia rings over other black rings such as black titanium or black tungsten is that the zirconia ceramic is black throughout the ring where as the titanium and tungsten are merely a plating. Although Zirconia rings are very tough and highly scratch resistant it may still be possible to scratch the ring in extreme situations, however any scratches would still show through as black as the zirconia ceramic ring is black all the way through. A similar tungsten ring or titanium ring would show the natural colour of the ring underneath when scratched. Prior to commissioning our new range of zirconia ceramic rings we carried out a little research with both UK and USA suppliers and found that the average depth of zirconia ceramic rings tends to be between 2.3mm and 3.0mm. We are aware from feedback from some of our other ranges that some people find this depth too uncomfortable to wear and as a result return them as unsuitable. In order to tailor our products more specifically to our customers needs we have commissioned our new range of zirconia ceramic rings with a depth of just 2.0mm making them a lot more comfortable to wear. In addition each one of our zirconia ceramic rings has a court profile (slightly rounded) on the inside making them more comfortable to wear. Our new range of Zirconia Cerami Rings are available in a large range of UK sizes from size N to Z + 3 spanning 16 finger sizes which we believe is the widest choice of sizes currently available in the UK. Each ring will be discretely laser engraved with the wording "Zirconia High-Tech Ceramic" over 2 lines. Some Zirconia Facts: Zirconia is made from Zirconium and can also be called Zirconium Dioxide. Zirconia is used in high tech industries such as Formula 1, Aircraft manufacturing and medical equipment such as hip replacements.

Zirconia Ceramic Ring - Carbon Fibre Inlay Design

Both of these materials are hi-tech strong materials used in Formula 1. Zirconia ceramic is used in the brake discs whilst the carbon fibre is used for the bodywork of the car. A real treat for the Formula 1 enthusiast.
